FSX Splash Screen Templates. These are templates that allow you to create your own splash screens to be displayed when FSX starts. There are both gold and silver templates that are compatible with Adobe Photoshop 6 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 8. The original splash screen that Microsoft included with FSX used a black font for the lettering, so there are also included templates that contain gold and silver fonts for the titling to give the splash screen a more colorful appearance.

FSX Valhalla Mission. This mission is based on Chapter 9 of "Fate is the Hunter". If you haven't read the book, hopefully this mission will encourage you to do so. It is autobiographical and covers the early days of piloting the airlines, from the mid 30's to just after World War 2. The mission is about Gann's first flight to Greenland, in the late summer of 1942. Working for the Air Transport Command, he carried cargo from Presque Island Maine to Goose Bay, Labrador. At Goose Bay he was pressed into service to fly the cargo on to Bluie-West-One, Narsarsuaq, Greenland. His only briefing was a film that he was shown taken along the coast of Greenland during fair weather. Flying across the North Atlantic at a time when Nav aids were nonexistent was risky enough, but things deteriorate from there.
